HONOURING HEROES OF THE KOREAN WAR ON KOREAN WAR VETERANS DAY
#KoreanWarForgottenNoMore

Senator Yonah Martin’s Bill S-213 (Korean War Veterans Day Act), became an Act of Parliament in June 2013, designating July 27th as Korean War Veterans Day across Canada. A day in remembrance of the selfless service and bravery of the more than 26,000 Canadians who fought in the Korean War, the more than 7,000 who served in peace-keeping duties after the signing of the Armistice, and the 516 Canadians who paid the ultimate sacrifice and never returned home.

Today marks the 9th annual Korean War Veterans Day, commemorating the 69th anniversary of the signing of the armistice. From coast to coast, Canadians stood together united in their love, admiration and respect for our Canadian heroes who bravely fought in the Korean War.
