Pitt River Bridge Announcement
Senator Martin was proud to have attended the announcement that Prime Minster Stephen Harper and Premier Gordon Campbell made concerning the Pitt River Bridge. The Government of Canada and the Government of British Columbia have agreed to cost-share the construction of a new seven-lane bridge across the Pitt River.
The Pitt River crossing connects key economic and transportation facilities with Greater Vancouver and with the completion of the bridge the ability to move good quickly and efficiently through the Lower Mainland and into cross-Canada markets will greatly increase.
